As a provider I...

  • counsel using an intersectional, liberation focused lens

  • love working with people of all ages, especially adolescents

  • support people of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship constellations;
I am a Queer and Transgender affirming provider

  • am a trauma responsive provider who offers person centered and community based care

  • specialize in sudden, traumatic, or stigmatized death loss

  • exercise humility in being invited to be part of your support system

  • am excited about continuing to learn and grow through each therapeutic connection

  • am available for consultation, workshops, and trainings

What does this mean?

I believe that growth, healing, and working through the hard stuff starts within. We all deserve spaces to build or fine tune our skills, reflect and learn, and do that with agency and support. I know that we can't be separated from the systems that we are part of, whether it's our families, our work, or our community. I try to support disrupting patterns that keep us from creating connection in order to assist you as you find a new perspective, seek purpose or meaning, and take time to care for yourself so that you can be present with others.

My approach might include work that is...

  • Attachment-based

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

  • Collective Care/Healing Centered Engagement

  • Compassion Focused

  • Crisis and Trauma Responsive Care

  • Culturally Sensitive

  • Eclectic

  • Emotionally Focused

  • Feminist

  • Interpersonal

  • Mindfulness-Based (MBCT)

  • Person-Centered

  • Relational

  • Strength-Based

Superbilling

As a provider, I choose to remain out of network with insurance companies because the system of insurance prioritizes a 'disease model' of mental health. I believe we all deserve access to support our health without emphasis on diagnosis, limiting the number of sessions you can have in a year, or requiring confidential information to be shared in order to access therapy. That said, I know that many people must use insurance in order to access wellness environments.

I am happy to provide super bills (a detailed list of services received) to clients for reimbursement through insurance, accept out of pocket cash pay participants and reserve occasional slots for people without adequate insurance. Please contact me to explore payment options. Here are some questions you'll want to ask your insurance company:

- Do I have out-of-network benefits with my insurance plan?
- What is my out-of-network deductible?
- Have I already met my deductible?
- What percentage of out-of-network services does my plan cover?
- How do I submit a superbill to my insurance company? (online portal, mail, fax)
- What is the time limit to submit a superbill after receiving services?
- How long does it typically take to receive reimbursement after submitting a superbill?
